How the whole thing started

We stopped footing the bill for bots that never buy

CloakTrack began as a private detection layer three media buyers threw together at 2 a.m., after watching a click farm quietly drain a client's budget for a full week without anyone noticing. Today it's the gatekeeper thousands of advertisers place between their ad spend and everything coming after it — bots, scrapers, review crawlers, and the occasional relentless competitor.

The journey that got us here

Started by the people who once managed the ad budget

2021 — the night that started it

Three of us were running paid media for a mid-size agency. One TikTok campaign lost 40% of its budget to a click farm before finance noticed — our fraud vendor only checked IP reputation, once a day, hours after the damage was done.

2022 — the first house rules

We built our own scoring layer to catch what the vendor missed, then quietly handed it to a few agency friends who'd lived the same nightmare. Every live campaign they had moved onto it within a quarter.

Today — the door every advertiser wants

CloakTrack now scores traffic across every major ad network for thousands of media buyers, and the dashboard is the first tab open every morning before the campaigns even go live.

The reason we exist

Invalid traffic should vanish quietly, not wreck your budget every month

Finding out a campaign bled money to bots shouldn't take a month-end report and an uncomfortable call with a client. We want every team behind CloakTrack to catch, cloak, and get reimbursed for invalid traffic so routinely that it barely interrupts a launch.

  • Never sell CloakTrack as a way to hide content from a human reviewer — we cloak fraud away, we don't help you dodge policy
  • Publish our own detection accuracy and false-positive rate in public, at status.cloaktrack.org
  • Keep the median time from visitor hit to route decision under 10 milliseconds
  • Give every advertiser a full, exportable evidence trail for every verdict the engine makes

Our core principles

The principles behind every routing call

Transparency, without exception

Every route decision comes with a reason. We log what we cloak and why — for our customers and for ourselves.

Without speed, there's no product

A cloaking layer that hesitates is worse than no layer at all. We optimize the hit-to-decision path in milliseconds.

We've sat in the media buyer's seat

Everyone building CloakTrack has explained a burned budget to a client. We design the product for that call to stop happening.

Built for compliance, not for tricks

We help advertisers pass network reviews honestly by keeping the traffic itself clean — never by hiding anything from a human.

Where detection actually runs

Twelve regions, each with its own detection node

Click farms cluster geographically, and so does the infrastructure that hunts them. Every CloakTrack scoring node runs in its own region — no shared queues, no single blind spot between Manila and São Paulo. When we call a cluster fraudulent, the pattern held up from multiple vantage points at once.

Our fraud analysts are distributed the same way: reviewers across four time zones, so a new attack pattern gets a human look within the hour, not the next business day.

Where we've been

How one wrecked budget grew into a full cloaking platform

  1. 2021

A reactive fix, built after the damage

CloakTrack begins as an internal script, written after a click-farm cluster ate 40% of a campaign's budget without anyone catching it.

  2. 2022

Door opens to the first 100 advertisers

Launched publicly, cloaking Google Ads and Meta review crawlers in real time using IP and ASN signals.

  3. 2023

Behavioral scoring meets one-click IVT disputes

Rolled out ML-driven traffic scoring and automatic invalid-traffic dispute submissions direct to ad networks.

  4. 2024

Detection goes live across twelve regions

Rolled out standalone scoring infrastructure in Asia-Pacific and Latin America to stop regional click farms before they grow.

  5. 2025

SOC 2 Type II certified, plus built-in split-testing

Passed our SOC 2 audit and launched a native A/B testing engine that tests only verified human traffic.

  6. Today

Over 3,800 advertisers now shielded behind us

CloakTrack now safeguards ad spend for advertisers and agencies across more than 40 countries.

Media buyers vouch for us

Teams who cut bots off from their ad spend

We moved off a spreadsheet of blocked IPs and onto CloakTrack in an afternoon. My buyers stopped guessing which clicks were real — the score just tells them, in real time.
